Leeds United have done well to strengthen the squad that won them promotion to the Premier League last season. The club have addressed most of their priorities for the summer, and are aiming to add more new faces to the team before the end of the window.

The Whites have added seven new players to the squad this summer as part of their transfer plans. Daniel Farke and the Leeds hierarchy have gone about their business meticulously, and Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri became the latest player to join the squad in the ongoing window.

Leeds are now set to focus on adding more goals and creativity to their team in the coming weeks as Farke is aware that the team need more up front next season if they are to survive in the Premier League.

Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz has emerged as their top target, and the club are willing to wait. They have also tabled a new bid for Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao.

However, they might not be done with their midfield shopping.

Franck Kessie could leave Al-Ahli amid Leeds United interest

Leeds have already signed Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach to shore up their midfield options, and they still have Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka and Ilia Gruev in the squad.

However, the Whites have been linked with an interest in former AC Milan and Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie, who is currently playing his trade in Saudi Arabia.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ahli are ready to sell the 28-year-old midfielder in the ongoing summer transfer window.

It has been claimed that the Saudi Pro League side are open to letting him go if a club offer them good money and can agree on personal terms with Kessie.

Leeds are rumoured to be interested in taking him to England, and he has also attracted enquiries from Serie A outfit Fiorentina this summer.

Kessie is believed to be keen on returning to playing in Europe and is receptive to offers this summer.

A move for Kessie seems unlikely for Leeds unless they sell a midfielder

Midfield is one area where Leeds look stocked at the moment following the arrivals of Longstaff and Stach in the ongoing transfer window.

Ampadu is likely to play a lot next season due to being the Leeds captain, and Ao Tanaka has been backed to prove himself in the Premier League.

Ilia Gruv has been linked with a move away, but the Bulgarian midfielder has made no noises about leaving Elland Road in the ongoing window.

Kessie is a big physical midfielder who could suit Leeds, but the club are unlikely to add more midfielders this summer if they do not sell someone.
