£10M summer signing could be an early contender for crucial role against Bournemouth

Leeds United picked up their second Premier League win this season away to Wolves. After a frustrating loss to Fulham, the Whites were looking to bounce back, and achieved just that with a big win.

Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Anton Stach settled the game in the first 45 minutes at the Molineux. Daniel Farke’s insistence on an unchanged lineup and approach worked wonders against Vitor Pereira’s side. After the game, the Leeds boss was much pleased with the result:

“We stay humble. Seven points is really good but it won’t be enough to stay in this league.

“We have to earn many more points to earn the right to be an established Premier League club. We’ll stay grounded.

“We’ll value the moment, the away win, it’s important. To be off the mark for some offensive players is quite good.”

In Saturday’s game, there was a lot of concern when Jayden Bogle went down and looked in a lot of pain. Replays showed that he had been stepped on, with the studs landing directly on his foot. The medical team came on and treated the defender for a while before he was substituted.

James Justin was brought on for just his second appearance for Leeds this season. After the game, Daniel Farke said Bogle would be assessed to find out the extend of his injury after the foot got ”very swollen”. That makes him a doubt for the upcoming Bournemouth game, with £10million summer signing James Justin likely to deputize in the event of any absence.

What Daniel Farke has said about James Justin

The former Leicester City defender came on for Jayden Bogle on Saturday for the last 12 minutes of the game. The only other match he has featured in was the last 10 minutes of the Newcastle game when Gabriel Gudmundsson picked up a knock.

If Bogle is injured, Justin will have a huge part to play in the upcoming games. Fortunately for Leeds fans, this is the exact reason Daniel Farke pushed for him to be signed this summer:

“James Justin is a proven Premier League player. He is capped for England.

“What I like is that he is flexible, he can play right-back or left-back. An all-round full-back, he adds goals and assists, good at defending.

“A top-class character and a top age. We are pretty pleased to have this proven player, he will be an important teammate.

“Whoever delivers, will play. I’m glad we have more quality competition right now.”

The Whites host Bournemouth at Elland Road next weekend.
