FC Midtjylland star Jens Cajuste has told Aftonbladet that he is incredibly disappointed that a potential transfer to Leeds United did not materialise.
The 22-year-old midfielder – a Swedish international who already has five caps to his name – was set for a deadline-day move, but nothing came of it with the Swede staying in Denmark for the foreseeable future at least.
Tipsbladet claimed that Cajuste would have been available for around DKK 150 million – the equivalent to £16 million.
The 22-year-old told Aftonbladet how disappointed he was after missing out on a move to Elland Road.
“Of course, you’re a little disappointed. I felt I was ready to take the next step,” Cajuste said.
“But so, it is in football. I’m not the first one it happens to and won’t be the last.
“You just have to have the right attitude and help the club move forward.”
