Leeds United and their travelling support will be delighted that they got a win on their visit to the Molineux. The result allows the club to bounce back after the defeat to Fulham last week.
Leeds could have gotten a point on their visit London, but a bizarre own goal from Gabriel Gudmundsson sealed the win for Marco Silva’s side. This time around, it was the Whites who showed they could be clinical, scoring three goals away from home.
Daniel Farke was pleased with the result and what he saw from his side:
”Really good first half. Dominant, creating many chances. The key was we had a confident start and we wanted to dominate this game.
”Sadly if you do a mistake in this level, you get punished. It was crucial that we didn’t dwell on this and feel sorry for ourselves, especially after the last game. We kept believing in our processes.
”We scored three excellent goals. Would have preferred a bit more control in second half. But they were throwing everything at us. We showed defensive steel. A hard fought win and deserved win.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Anton Stach were all on the scoresheet for Leeds in their spectacular win on Saturday. Wolves opened the scoring after just eight minutes but Calvert-Lewin equalized. Then on the 39th minute, Anton Stach hit a delightful free kick to put Leeds 2-1 up; Noah Okafor rounded up the scoring just before half time.
Stach scored his first goal for the Whites in the most spectacular way possible, a direct free kick. According to Opta, the German became the first Leeds player since Kalvin Phillips to score his first ever Premier League goal from a free kick.

Stach is also the last player at the club to score from a direct free kick since Raphinha did in 2021.
Club have a brilliant signing in the German midfielder
Anton Stach has been one of the better performers in the team this season. He has also shown he is more than a defensive presence. Last season in the Bundesliga, he was renowned for his ball winning and work rate. Since he arrived at Leeds, he is arguably the club’s best attacking player. Hopefully he continues to deliver as the season goes on.
