Any Premier League manager would be pleased if their team had a window like Leeds United this summer. Seven new additions have seen the team serious bolster the squad from last season.
Daniel Farke and the recruitment team have addressed most areas of the squad so far. The defence has seen serious depth added, while the midfield has been bolstered with quality. Farke believes the team needs to end the window on a high note as Leeds are in the market for a new center forward:
“I want to be competitive in the Premier League level. We are on a good path.” he said.
“But right now if we have to start like this, we are not ready so we need a few more things to happen. And for that I don’t want to praise us too much so we are not in the mood to reflect.
“I will make sure that we go with the group into the Premier League season where we have a chance at least also of survival. We know how difficult it is. And you have a look on the last seasons and how much teams have spent in order to be competitive, and they were struggling and sometimes some of them were already relegated in February and March.”

Asking price revealed for Leeds United target

Leeds have been named among the suitors for Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis.
There are reports that the Portuguese star will seek a move away after the club added two midfielders this summer. He has been linked to the Premier League and Serie A. No offers have been made by either side yet.
According to Record, it would take a fee of around £22million for Benfica to part way with the midfielder.
Leeds set to trigger release clause
Florentino Luis is not the only midfielder the Whites are after this summer. Reports from earlier today suggest that a move for Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss is on.
Leeds reportedly opened discussions with the Foxes, and are willing to pay the 21-year old’s release clause.
Florentino news comes with a disclaimer
According to the report, the Portuguese midfielder has been linked with a move to England for years, but nothing has materialized. This could be case of the media trying to increase his profile ahead of a deal.
The initial report on the transfer denied any concrete leads from both Leeds and Burnley.
