Leeds United played a hard fought draw with Newcastle over the weekend. The Whites now go into the international break with four points from a possible nine – a strong start to the season as a newly-promoted team.
Daniel Farke’s side shut down the Newcastle team, who barely created any chances on Saturday. But ultimately, the problems lied in attack. Once again, Leeds could barely move the ball between the midfield and attack. Many players struggled as they barely saw the ball at Elland Road.
After the game, Daniel Farke did hint that Leeds could address the problem in the market.
”There is always hope. As soon as Dom [Calvert-Lewin] gets full fitness, this will be beneficial. Noah missed training with groin problems as soon as he is fit, will be beneficial for us.
”We were competitive first three games. But we need to do more in the offence.”

Leeds United move for Emi Buendia could be back on

Aston Villa’s Emi Buendia could be available on Monday after this latest development. Unai Emery is eyeing a move for Liverpool star Harvey Elliott. The England U21 midfielder is looking for a move with the pending arrival of Alexander Isak on deadline day.
In order to sign Elliott, Villa will have to offload Buendia. The club are still trying to move pieces around as they navigate PSR sanctions in this transfer window. But selling Buendia could give Aston Villa what they need to complete a move for Harvey Elliott.
Leeds are still keen on the Argentine, as they cycle through alternatives ahead of the deadline. The failed move for Facundo Buonanotte has seen the club reach out to multiple targets including Bilal El Khannouss.
Leeds need to push for Buendia deal
Emi Buendia could be a very good buy for the club – he can play in midfield and out wide. He also has experience at this level. Most importantly, he brings dynamism and a creative spark to a team who seem to lack a bit of it this season.
The Argentine could prove the perfect option in the middle of the park alongside the likes of Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach.
The lack of transfer activity in these last few hours is an indictment of the ineptness of the 49s – typical US big talk, but steers not bulls an plenty of Bullshine. Farke is not to blame for any failings – this is all on the 49s and total lack of ambition. The argument of competing with established premiership clubs is rubbished by the activity of Burnley and Sunderland ….. they are leaping over the head of the 49s.
