With the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds United have now signed eight players in this transfer window. And the club could sign even more in the weeks before the window closes.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke has emphasized on how the attack needs some reinforcements ahead of this season. The Whites will need goals if they are to stand a chance at surviving this campaign. Farke responded with this when asked if the transfer business will be wrapped up soon.

”I’ve praised our key people so far, mentioned several times we’re on a good path, done lots in defence midfield and goalkeeper positions, and also full-back. I’ve also been clear we need to strengthen our squad, perhaps one more full-back but especially in offence. With Dominic it’s the first step, an important step, but there is still business to be done.”

There is now a high chance Leeds add another striker after signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds United linked to Bundesliga star

That striker could be Stuttgart star Ermedin Demirovic. According to Kicker, the 27-year old Bosnian is on the radar of the club. Last season, Demirovic finished as the Bundesliga side’s top scorer in the league.

Stuttgart signed him for just £18million last summer, but could be looking for up to £35million to part ways before the window closes.

Striker wants playing time

The report also adds that Demirovic is open to a move in order to get more playing time. Despite finishing as Stuttgart’s top scorer with 15 goals in the Bundesliga, he started just 20 games, making the rest of his appearances off the bench. The Bosnian was behind Woltemade and Deniz Undav for most of the season.

He has not showed any signs of unhappiness in pre-season, but if Leeds are able to match the fee, things could happen.

Demirovic could be a huge option

A striker with 15 league goals in just 20 starts is phenomenal. The only thing that could stand between Leeds and a transfer is his asking price. £35million may be steep, considering the Whites are also looking at strengthening other positions.

But if the chance is there to sign him, Leeds should take the opportunity with both hands.
