49ers Enterprises officially clear the air as Leeds United receive major news update – Daniel Farke status revealed?

Leeds United won Premier League promotion this week, and the headlines in the media are already causing problems. Just days after securing top flight football next season, a rumour involving Daniel Farke has gained publicity.

According to these reports, 49ers Enterprises will sack the Leeds boss and find a replacement to take charge of the team in the Premier League. The supposes reason for this decision is that the board feel Farke is not good enough to help the team survive in the league, with his poor record at Norwich being used as the reference point.

A number of names have been linked with a move to Elland Road, including Jose Mourinho.

Add the Daniel Farke news with the mix of transfer targets being linked to the club, and there is a whole storm outside Elland Road.

49ers Enterprises have now released an official statement on the rumours surrounding Leeds United:

“The strength of our commitment, resources, and ambition for Leeds United remains unchanged. We look forward to competing in the Premier League next season.”

Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe recently acquired a 51% stake in Rangers, leading to some worries within the fanbase that the ownership will focus less on the club. Now, this statement will bring some calm to Leeds fans ahead of this summer.

On the Daniel Farke front, no official word has been said. It is very possible that the ownership will trust and stand by the man who brought them back to the Premier League.

Sacking Daniel Farke would be a ridiculous move

The board brought Farke in because of his promotion record. After narrowly missing out last year, he lost key players this season and set his team up to challenge again. This time around he sealed automatic promotion. The least he deserves is to see the season through after he brought the club back up to the English top flight.

Leeds are already planning to reinforce the squad; a new goalkeeper has been lined up this summer.
