According to the Daily Mail, 49ers Enterprises’ takeover bid for Leeds United is set to be approved soon.
The consortium bought out previous majority owner Andrea Radrizzani earlier in June. The deal was agreed a few weeks after relegation from the Premier League was confirmed. The EFL then had to carry out checks on all the relevant parties before it could be officially confirmed.
The American enterprises have been active as they shape the team to prepare for promotion this season, hiring new boss Daniel Farke. The group also made it clear that key players in the team will not be sold as they prepare for the future. Wilfried Gnonto and club-record signing Georginio Rutter are seen as “untouchable” by the 49ers.
The consortium added their latest partner, $200 Million NBA star Russel Westbrook to their team.
