Leeds United were limited in the January transfer window due to PSR rules according to Daniel Farke. Because of that, there was close to zero activity from the club. Heading into this summer, there is a fear that it could affect transfer business again.
Leeds will have some money to spend – they will earn over £100million from being promoted to the Premier League. But some financial loss at the end of the 2023-24 season could force the club to spend carefully. And this likely means that Leeds United will have to sell players before they can buy in the summer transfer window.

Daniel Farke will have more license to spend in the summer as supposed to January. But even with that freedom, Leeds will be wary not to spend too much. Players could also be sold in the coming months to raise more funds. Illan Meslier has been linked with a move away, while Real Betis are reportedly back for Mateo Joseph.
According to The Athletic, Leeds have a shortlist of players they would consider selling if PSR were to become an issue in the summer. Pascal Struijk and Wilfried Gnonto are the leading candidates for sale if the club needed funds to balance the books. Struijk and Gnonto arrived at Elland Road for minimal fees, and offloading them would record healthy profits.
How much profit could Struijk and Gnonto bring?
In the unlikely case either is sold, they have decent value in today’s market. Gnonto was signed for around £5million, and Transfermarkt currently values him around £15million. This means Leeds could make as much as £10million from the Italian’s sale. As for Struijk, there were reports that the club would be willing to sell him for £25million – which is easily £20million plus in profit.
