Leeds United have accelerated plans as they hope to bring in some new faces ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday. Daniel Farke has been crying for the team to add quality in attack since pre-season.
The Whites have added Lukas Nmecha, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor in the last few days. But Farke expects at least one more signing through the door before the window closes.
Leeds have also finalized some exits this week, selling Sam Greenwood and loaning out Largie Ramazani and Isaac Schmidt. On Thursday, it was announced that Patrick Bamford left the club after terminating his contract.

Facundo Buonanotte is expected in West Yorkshire on Friday to complete his deal according to reports. Leeds have been pushing these past few days to convince Brighton of a move. The Seagulls very much see Buonanotte as a long-term project and are willing to let him go out on loan. Borussia Dortmund attempted a £20million bid earlier this summer.
Daniel Farke will be getting a quality attacker who can play in attacking midfield, and out wide. His last stint on loan at a Premier League club saw him get five goals and two assists for a poor Leicester City side.
Fabian Hurzeler speaks on Facundo Buonanotte
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler opened up on the situation surrounding the 21-year old Argentine:
“We have a very transparent exchange with him,” he said speaking to Sussex World.
“It’s so important that they have game minutes where they can improve. So we have to think about if the right club is here, or we might give him a loan where he gets more game minutes.
“I can say we’re very happy that he’s a Brighton player, and no matter where he will be in the next season, long-term we will see him here as a player for us because he’s a great player and he’s a great character and for sure long-term he will help us.”
When asked if a loan is likely, Hurzeler added: “It’s an option, yes.”
Leeds United take on Newcastle on Saturday, and it is not likely Buonanotte features if he does complete a move on Friday.
Several of the players we brought in seem promising but many other transfers, including this loan, move seem to move out of reach. However, a new number 9 has been a missing piece for longer than last season – no excuses the 49s are responsible for this. They will take the credit for success so now is the time to see if they are professional enough to keep their promises on securing game changing players or are they just sugar coated nuts and hot air only. The transfer windows closes Monday — hours not weeks left. By the end of this transfer window what will we see Red Bull or 49s White Flag!
