The Athletic have also added that Leeds still have their eyes on a deal for Leicester City fullback James Justin. The 27-year old old was said to be valued around £6million. Leicester players are being targeted as bigger clubs look to poach their big stars.

The Whites are looking for an option at right back. Isaac Schmidt filled in the position during pre-season, but he does not have long left a the club this summer.

Deal for other Leicester star is still on

Bilal El Khannouss has been a hot topic over the past few weeks. A host of Premier League clubs have shown interest. In that aspect, Leeds seem to be the frontrunners in the race. The Whites held a meeting with Leicester to find out details about the 21-year old’s release clause.

Further reports say that the Whites have held talks with El Khannouss’ representatives. Newcastle pulled out of the race after agreeing a deal for Jacob Ramsey, leaving Leeds as the main suitors now.

Jayden Bogle needs a capable backup

When Bogle missed the last two friendlies with a knock, it was quite obvious the effect on the team. His performance against Manchester United just proved how important he will be for Daniel Farke’s side this season. But with the injuries, the club now need a capable backup.

James Justin will fill this role perfectly, as well as being able to play both flanks. And for that transfer fee, Leeds need to capitalize and make a deal quickly. Giving depth to the fullback positions could be very key this season.
