As a newly promoted club, you will be in direct competition with other Premier League teams for signings. Leeds United will have to deal with this when the transfer market opens in the summer.
The last time the Whites were promoted, they did quite a lot of their shopping outside England. It was kind of a success; they got Raphinha, Rodrigo Moreno and Diego Llorente among others. Rodrigo went on to become a household name within his first few seasons. And Raphinha was arguably one of the best attackers in the Premier League during his short time there.
Other clubs have adapted the strategy of buying within the Premier League and Championship. That strategy did not quite work out for Ipswich Town and Southampton this season – both sides got relegated.

Leeds have been recently linked with signings within England in recent weeks – from Sam Johnstone to Jamie Vardy. Club chairman Paraag Marathe has promised the fans that he will help the team keep their status in the top flight. There are reports over the last few hours suggest Leeds could have over £150million to spend this summer.
According to Greek outlet Sportdog.pr, the Whites are one of multiple clubs interested in Greek right back Georgios Vagiannidis. The report claims that Leeds will send scouts to watch the 23-year old this weekend. His club Panathinaikos face Olympiacos in the Greek derby on Saturday.
There are also claims that Everton will join the Whites in the race, with both teams set to prepare bids to sign Vagiannidis this summer. Panathanaikos are said to be looking for £6.8million to £8.5million.
Do Leeds need another right back?
With Jayden Bogle having done so well this season, is there a need for another defender? Actually, yes. With the imminent departure of Sam Byram, and maybe Junior Firpo, the fullback areas will require some depth. And the Premier League schedule is demanding, you cannot go into next season with just one senior right back.
Vagiannidis would be a potential depth signing, rather that coming in to be the immediate starter.
