Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has admitted that he is not expecting any more players to leave the club amidst late Turkish interest in defender Max Wober.
The Whites are preparing for a big Championship game this weekend when they will host Burnley at Elland Road on Saturday.
However, despite the transfer window closing in most of Europe, Leeds are still facing the prospect of losing players this summer.
It emerged earlier this week that Galatasaray are planning a late raid to sign Wober on loan with an option to buy from Leeds ahead of the window closing in Turkey on Friday.
An offer has not been made but the rumours have persisted and Leeds could still be forced to make a difficult decision in the next 24 hours.
Farke not expecting any more departures from Leeds United
Leeds have lost three key players – Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Archie Gray – from the team that were defeated in the playoff final by Southampton last season.
The Whites are confident that they have brought in adequate replacements but Farke admitted that they can’t afford to lose more from a small squad.
Wober’s future has remained under the scanner and while the Leeds boss didn’t unequivocally reject any more potential departures, he indicated that it is unlikely to happen.
“I haven’t really thought about this, to be honest, never say never but we’re not tempted”, Farke said in a press conference.
“Our group is not too big right now, 99.9% we will not lose any players.”
Wober has not featured much at the start of the season but he did insist earlier that he wants to play a part in getting Leeds promoted to the Premier League.
He has struggled with calf and knee problems this term and is a doubt ahead of the Burnley game on Saturday.
