Leeds United really had a well planned start to the summer transfer window. The plan was to add numbers to the backline and midfield, to leave focus on the attack for the latter part of the transfer window.
The Whites did a brilliant job bringing in a mix of quality and experience, with the likes of Jaka Bijol and Sean Longstaff. Leeds had some major targets in attack, but unfortunately the deals broke down and the club have had to chase other targets. In the past few weeks the club have added some key signings to the team.
James Justin has been brought in as cover for both fullback positions, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the best option at center forward. Noah Okafor was also signed from AC Milan.

Werder Bremen had sought a deal to sign Isaac Schmidt; there was an agreement in principle. But Daniel Farke wanted a replacement before he could sanction the deal. Schmidt stayed at Elland Road for a few weeks, before the Whites brought in James Justin. And as of Wednesday night, it has been reported that a move for the Swiss defender has been finalized.
Patrick Berger is reporting that Schmidt’s move is a season-long loan with an option to buy for £2.58million to £3.4million.

A total agreement has now been reached, and the defender is expected to arrive in Germany tomorrow.
Deal could be a goodbye for defender
With how little he played last season, many believe this deal is basically a goodbye for Schmidt. His agent already made it clear that the 25-year old needed playing time to qualify for a place in Switzerland’s World Cup squad.
Leeds will not make a significant loss if the option to buy clause is triggered, so it is a good deal overall.
