Leeds United faced their fourth loss in the English Premier League this season as the Whites failed to find the back of the net at Turf Moor.
All three promoted teams are outside the relegation zone now, with the Yorkshire outfit helping Burnley to inch out of that whirlpool.
Sunderland, on the other hand, continue with their flawless form as they won 2-0 against relegation-bound Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves haven’t managed to win a single game in the Premier League this season, while the Black Cats have only managed to lose two and stand seventh in the league.
The Tyne and Wear-based outfit is doing the best among all the promoted clubs, and Daniel Farke was hoping to lead the Whites to that spot instead. Despite Sunderland’s positive performance, the Clarets proved to be Leeds’ biggest rivals both this and last season.

After the loss against Burnley, some pundits still focused on the positives, with both Micah Richards and Alan Shearer making positive remarks.
“All three promoted teams are out of the bottom three, so they’ll all be very pleased with their start, actually”, Shearer told the BBC.
Leeds United created a lot of chances but just couldn’t finish the job when it came to the net. Richards echoed the same opinion as the Whites dominated the game through and through.
“Leeds were excellent, apart from putting the ball in the back of the net. Absolutely dominated the game, but Burnley stayed in the game and took their chances when needed.”
The Whites had 19 shots and four of them on target, compared to the Clarets’ four shots in total and three being on target. Individual performance saved the Lancashire outfit as Ugochukwu and Tchaouna didn’t miss their chances.
Brenden Aaronson called out
After a dominant team performance, one player in particular faced scrutiny following the game. American midfielder Brenden Aaronson missed a big chance against Burnley, which could’ve given the Whites the flare they needed for a comeback.
Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison didn’t hold back, blaming the youngster’s finishing in the process. The former footballer claimed that the save wasn’t world-class class but Aaronson had given the keeper an easy time out.
“He’s in on goal, and he should score. He tries to pass it around Dubravka, he saves it, and it goes onto the post. People will say it’s a great save, I’m going to say it’s a bad miss. In that situation, you’ve got to score. It’s a terrible miss.”
