Leeds United know the task at hand heading into next season. The signs are right in front of them, and they know what to do.
The past two years have seen all newly promoted clubs go straight back down to the Championship. The gap in quality between the divisions continues to grow. It is much different from when Marcelo Bielsa lead the whites to the Premier League in 2020.
A top half finish and a record breaking campaign came as a shock to the league. Now, fans will be hoping Daniel Farke can deliver something similar.

Pundits and former players have spoken on how it is great for the club to return to the top flight. However, the praise has come with some warnings. Gary Lineker spoke on how the league will benefit from the return of top flight football to Elland Road.
The latest to give some blunt advice is Alan Shearer, who believes Leeds and the other promoted clubs will have a tough time in the Premier League:
“For large parts of the play-off final, Sunderland got battered but they defended very well and managed to get the goals to hold Sheffield United off,”
“I also think that watching the final also told you how far they have to go to actually stay in the Premier League.”, reports Chronicle Live.
“It’s one thing getting to the Premier League, and another staying there. You can say the same for Leeds and Burnley too.
Will Leeds survive next season?
With the squad in its current shape? No. But if Daniel Farke and the recruitment team can put together a good enough core, they can stand a chance. Leeds were bold the last time they were promoted; they went out and got quality players like Raphinha and Rodrigo Moreno and it paid off big time.
This time around, the squad looks much more uninspiring. But with the support of the board, and a huge transfer budget, Leeds have the resources to transform the team. How well the team performs this season will depend on how well the club do in the transfer market.
