Leeds United are set to welcome Tottenham to Elland Road for a significant Premier League clash this weekend, ahead of another international break next week.
Daniel Farke’s men have defied expectations at the start of the season with eight points from their opening six league games. They have looked more resilient and battle-hardened than most other promoted teams from recent years, and have given established sides a run for their money.
Andoni Iraola admitted last weekend that his Bournemouth side could not cope with Leeds’ physicality, and the Whites are unbeaten at home for over a year, which includes Premier League fixtures against Everton, Newcastle United and the Cherries.
Tottenham are coming to this game on the back of a bruising 2-2 Champions League draw away at Bodo Glimt, and Alan Shearer has warned Spurs they are in for a rough ride at Elland Road on Saturday.
Leeds won’t be easy for Tottenham – Shearer

Leeds have looked more than competitive in their opening six Premier League games, barring a 5-0 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates.
They were unlucky to lose at Fulham, and were seconds away from a win last weekend at Elland Road before Bournemouth scored a late equaliser.
The Whites have looked like a proper Premier League team at the start of the season, and Shearer is expecting another bruising game at Elland Road.
He pointed out that Tottenham will be weary after midweek Champions League action, and he cannot see Spurs winning at Elland Road this weekend.
“With Leeds playing at home and Tottenham being away in the Champions League during the week, it won’t be an easy game”, Shearer told The Metro.
“I’ll go for a draw.”
While Shearer may think it will be a draw, Leeds will back themselves to get all three points against a Spurs side that struggled with Bodo Glimt’s physicality in the Champions League.
Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?
