Journalist Graeme Bailey has insisted that almost all of the top Premier League clubs have been keeping tabs on Leeds United youngster Harry Gray intending to sign him in the near future.
Leeds were sad to lose academy product Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer but it likely helped them stay away from any PSR issues.
The Whites are known for developing young talent and Archie’s younger brother Harry is also turning heads with his performance in the Leeds academy.
There are suggestions that Tottenham are interested in taking the 15-year-old striker to the north London club and reuniting him with his brother.
Bailey claimed that Tottenham are aware that the current Leeds regime are prepared to sell anyone if it makes financial sense.
Tottenham are not the only club keeping an eye on Harry Gray
The teenage forward is earning rave reviews for his performance for Leeds’ academy team but is also attracting interest from clubs in the Premier League.
Tottenham have their eyes on him but Bailey insisted that the north London club have been keeping tabs on Harry even before they signed Archie this summer.
They are also aware of Leeds’ penchant for selling players but stressed that the competition is going to be fierce as almost all the top Premier League clubs are keen on getting their hands on the 15-year-old.
“With Archie Gray gone, whilst devastating to Leeds fans also highlighted that the club’s current regime are willing to sell anyone, and nobody knows that better than Tottenham”, Bailey told LeedsUnited.News.
“Tottenham are indeed admirers of Harry Gray, but I can confirm they liked him before they signed Archie, they haven’t suddenly emerged with an interest in light of the deal.
“Tottenham though, are not the only interested party – again not surprising but all of the Premier League big clubs are more than aware of Harry.”
Leeds will hope to convince Harry to stay put and sign his first professional contract with the club when he turns 17 in 2026.
