After scoring a stunning free kick against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Anton Stach has already become a fan favourite at Elland Road.

With six out of six appearances in the English Premier League, the German is looking forward to facing Tottenham Hotspur today.

Leeds United, though, stand in the bottom half of the Premier League table with two wins and the same number of draws and losses.

Interestingly, former Whites star boy Archie Gray will be making a comeback to Elland Road as the teenager faces his former home club in the English top flight.

“That’s my home, that’s where I’ve been raised, and I’ve got so much love for Leeds, but I’m playing for Tottenham now, we’ve obviously got a job to do at the weekend, and we’re looking forward to that”, Gray said.

Talking to BBC Radio Leeds, Stach focused on answering some key questions. He mentioned that the midfield at Leeds United is the best he’s played with in his career so far.

“We have five or six players that are really good, nearly all on the same level. I think that’s really important, in training we really push each other.”

“The mentality is a big argument for everybody because we all fight for every ball and try to be focused on every duel. I would say it’s the best midfield I have played with so far.”

The German international talked about their upcoming opponents’ team and individual quality. However, he also mentioned the Whites will fight and not hide from the London-based outfit.

“They are really good. They have really good individual quality in every position, and it’s hard to play against a side like that. We have to deal with it and be strong; we are not there to hide. We want to compete, win duels and maybe win the game.”

The feeling at Elland Road

Stach previously praised the fans on TNT Sports, and now he did the same again as he just can’t get enough of the atmosphere at Elland Road.

“It’s so nice. The atmosphere is unbelievable every time. The fans aren’t only cheering when you get an assist or score, it’s also when you have a good sliding tackle and good defensive action. They push you, and it gives you more of a percentage in the game to run even more. I like it a lot.”
