The search for striker in the Premier League this summer could indirectly affect Leeds United. The Whites are looking to add a new center forward after developments in the past few weeks.
Daniel Farke made it known to Patrick Bamford that he will not be relying on the 31-year old in the Premier League. The Leeds boss had a private discussion with the striker before leaving him in the UK to continue pre-season camp with the team in Germany. Bamford could leave Elland Road this summer, with Wrexham and Middlesbrough interested.
Mateo Joseph is another forward who could leave. The 21-year old asked for a transfer, and failed to join the team camp in Germany. He is now in the UK sorting out his future.
After missing out on Igor Paixao, Leeds know that they will need to go hard to land a major signing up top.

Another club looking for a new striker is Newcastle United. Alexander Isak has left the team camp, and requested for a transfer. He does not look like he will return to Eddie Howe’s team for the rest of the summer.
Newcastle are now looking for a new striker, which has brought them to Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz. The Brazilian is a major target of Leeds United, who have already had a bid turned down for the 24-year old.
Mail Sport are reporting that Newcastle have made an ”informal inquiry” over singing Muniz, with representatives believing that a £40million fee would be enough to complete a deal.
Leeds’ stance on Rodrigo Muniz move
The Whites are still heavily interested in a move for Muniz, but are patiently waiting for their opportunity.
Fulham are aware of the interest and so is the player. Muniz is reportedly opened to a move away this summer. The Brazilian is yet to sign a new deal at Craven Cottage, raising rumours that he will leave this summer. The striker has one year remaining on his current deal, and could be sold.
What other targets are on the club’s radar
Earlier this week, reports from Italy confirmed that Leeds United are interested in AS Roma star Artem Dovbyk. Recent reports also revealed that the club tried to offer another proposal to Nikola Krstovic, but was turned down.
Marc Guiu is also a huge target for Sunderland; meaning Leeds’ alternatives are dwindling in number.
