Tottenham Hotspur new boy Archie Gray has let his mask slip to show his Leeds United loyalty when he described Elland Road as ‘our ground’ following his side’s win over Coventry City on Wednesday night.
Gray made his first start for Tottenham in their Carabao Cup third-round victory over Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Another former Leeds star Djed Spence played a role in helping Tottenham beat the Championship side and progressing in the domestic cup competition.
Leeds sold Gray to Tottenham in the summer and despite the heartbreaking nature of the transfer, it probably helped the Whites to stay within PSR limits for this season.
A product of the Leeds academy, the youngster comes from a Leeds-supporting family with several of their members representing the club as well.
The teenager indicated that he still considers Leeds as his club despite joining Tottenham in the summer window.

Following the game, the midfielder was interviewed by Sky Sports alongside Brennan Johnson and Gray reminisced about playing against Coventry in the Championship when he was at Leeds.
He admitted that Coventry are always a difficult team to play against and while talking about his experience from last season, he described Elland Road as ‘our ground’ despite not being a Leeds player anymore.
“Difficult place to come here”, Gray said after the game.
“Played here last year, even at our ground last year, they always bring a tough game and lots of transitions.
“They did well and the fans got behind them.”
Gray broke into the Leeds team under Daniel Farke and was one of the first names on the German’s team sheets once he established himself.
Tottenham agreed a deal worth £40m to snare him away from Leeds in the summer transfer window.
