A lot of people in English football have had their say about Leeds United since the club won promotion. Elland Road will host Premier League football next season for the first time since 2023.
Leeds are one of the biggest clubs in England and their return to the top flight has rightfully sparked conversations across the league. The club’s status is one of the reasons 49ers Enterprises were interested enough to take over and fully invest in. Club chairman Paraag Marathe and the rest of the ownership are intent on keeping the Whites in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke is expected to have an adequate transfer budget to make changes to the team to achieve their aim.

Arsenal midfielder Declan rice is the latest to speak on Leeds and their return to the top flight:
”…I watch the Champ all the time, Leeds are a massive club. It’s good to have them back.” (via Weekly World Soccer, quotes on X via James Marshment)
“There’s a guy at #LUFC he’s an unbelievable player.
I watch the Champ all the time, Leeds are a massive club. It’s good to have them back. He’s been their Player of the Season, he’s a really good player, really energetic, really good on the ball.” – Declan Rice on Ao Tanaka pic.twitter.com/AWLgHdilX1— James Marshment (@marshyleeds) May 23, 2025
Then the England international had glowing praise for Ao Tanaka.
“There’s a guy at Leeds United he’s an unbelievable player.
“…He’s been their Player of the Season, he’s a really good player, really energetic, really good on the ball.”
Ao Tanaka has arguably been the signing of the season
Daniel Farke was instrumental in bringing Tanaka to England. And the midfielder did not disappoint, he played so well that he was voted Leeds Players’ player of the Year. Hopefully this summer, the club’s recruitment can find another player as good as the 26-year old.
