According to the BBC’s Adam Pope, Patrick Bamford picked up a knock against Palace after playing “under injury” recently.
The striker has been influential since his return to fitness, scoring twice in Leeds’ last five games. Bamford managed to play 78 minutes against Crystal Palace but failed to finish the game after picking up a knock.
The Whites were in control of the game against Palace on Sunday when Bamford gave them the lead after just 21 minutes. But Leeds capitulated and conceded five goals in just over 30 minutes.
Pope revealed the details of Bamford’s knock on his podcast:
“I don’t understand how a goal [Marc Guehi’s equaliser] can be so demoralising to going out in the second half, where we understand that Bamford might have gone out with a little bit of a… playing under a bit of an injury.
“He had to go off, he wasn’t moving well. But even that, the sum of the whole was still so much better than one player struggling.”
