Leeds twice fought back from a goal down to salvage a point against Everton on Saturday, and a major reason they were able to come back into the game was the heroics of star winger Raphinha.
Danny Murphy singled Raphinha out in his analysis of the game as someone who was ‘brave on the ball’ and key to the Leeds comeback. “Raphinha was the man for me.”
“The whole 90 minutes he was demanding the ball, and was brave on the ball.” Murphy liked how the determination of Raphinha meant he was constantly showing for the ball and trying to make things happen. “Too many times you see players taking it safe, but not him. He is direct and wants to make things happen.
Finally, he was surprised by how Raphinha only had 6 goals in the league last season. “He should be doubling that this season. He has a wonderful left foot”. Raphinha has plenty of talent, and he showed it against Everton as he scored his 3rd goal in 3 games against the toffees.
