Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow was the topic on former Premier League player Ben Foster’s YouTube channel recently. This followed the weekend where the Whites faced Spurs in a league game.
Danie Farke will be very frustrated that his side did not leave the game with a point at least. They had chances to get back into the game in the second half, but fluffed their lines as Tottenham eventually scored in the second half to win the game.

The game at Elland Road was full of emotions as the home crowd created a hostile atmosphere for the visitors. And the players from both sides were visibly pumped up – as shown when Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario celebrated after denying Leeds.
Ben Foster spoke about the incident, and slammed the Italian keeper for what he did in the match.
“No, I wouldn’t put him there (as a top six keeper).” he said on The Cycling GK show.
“He did make that save down to his left, which was a world-class save, but then got up and gave it that (a celebration), and I hate that.
“For this weekend, I’m not putting him in because he got up and went ‘yes, I’m the man, I’m the man.’
“I don’t like that, I’m just thinking, make your save and get up.”
Ben Foster was very critical of Karl Darlow’s Spurs performance
Karl Darlow was not spared either; the Welshman was the topic of discussion after the game by some section of fans. They believed that the keeper could have done better on both of the goals he conceded. Ben Foster had his say on what happened on both goals:
“His hands are too low anyway,” Foster said.
“From that close, you can use your feet to try and make the saves. Matz Sels actually made a really good foot save; somebody else did, I think it was the Brighton goalkeeper.
“But you’ve got to have your hands in a higher position there because from that angle, they can still get in the top corner, and I know it took a deflection, but you’ve still got to be up there a little bit.”
