Beren Cross drops huge Largie Ramazani transfer boost for Leeds United

Largie Ramazani Leeds United

Leeds United agreed to loan out Largie Ramazani to Valencia last summer, and the move didn’t go down well with the fans, who felt that the Belgian didn’t get a proper chance under Daniel Farke.

The Leeds manager insisted that Ramazani himself wanted to leave the club in the last transfer window. He stressed that he was not going to beg him to stay.

Ramazani struggled to start games for Leeds last season, and there were suggestions that he was not going to play much if he had stayed on at Elland Road.

Leeds fans were left unhappy as they felt that the winger had the talent to unlock games. However, they could be in for some good news in the winter transfer window.

Leeds United can call recall Largie Ramazani

Ramazani has struggled for game time at Valencia this season. He is yet to start a league game or score for the Spanish giants since joining them on loan.

The winger was also out for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury and only recently returned to the squad following his recovery.

There were suggestions that Leeds forego the option to recall him in the loan agreement with Valencia past of the deal between the two clubs.

However, according to The Athletic’s Beren Cross, Leeds retain the ability to recall him from his loan stint or let him join another club in the winter window.

With Ramazani continuing to struggle for game time, Leeds are likely to cut short his loan stint with the Spanish club in January.

Leeds wanted him to play regular football this season as it would either help him return to the Elland Road or allow them to sell him for a considerable fee next summer.

The winger not playing regularly is not serving either his or Leeds’ purpose.

Will Farke welcome him back?

Farke gave Ramazani very few opportunities in the Championship last season, and it’s clear he doesn’t think he is good enough for the Premier League.

There is a feeling that the Belgian is not ready for the physical intensity of the Premier League, and he was happy to let him go out on loan last summer.

If the winger returns in January, it’s hard to see where he fits as the 5-3-2 formation has no place for natural wingers. Even Wilfried Gnonto is not starting games.

If Leeds cut short his loan at Valencia, they are likely to try to find a new club for him rather than reintegrating him into the squad.
