Leeds United appealed the red card given to Pascal Struijk in their devastating 3-0 defeat to Liverpool.
However, today the FA have decided to reject the appeal, and instead uphold Struijk’s 3 game ban which will see him miss games against Newcastle, Fulham and West Ham.
Struijk was sent off for a challenge on Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott, who had successful surgery on his ankle yesterday and will hopefully make a quick recovery.
The result of the failed appeal will leave Leeds in a tricky spot, with only Liam Cooper available amongst senior centre backs.
