BREAKING: Marcelo Bielsa gives injury update on Phillips and Bamford

Leeds will return to Premier League action this weekend as they take on Southampton on Saturday at St. Mary’s. 

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Bielsa revealed the injury status of Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips. Bamford remains on the side-lines unfortunately due to his ankle injury.

Bielsa admitted that Phillips has a chance to play, although he isn’t sure if his calf problem will have been sorted in time for kick off.

Luke Ayling is halfway through his rehabilitation and won’t be available for the game. Meanwhile, defender Robin Koch is currently in the US undergoing minor surgery. Bielsa envisions him being back before too long.

Adam Forshaw is also available for selection again, though he will likely be on the bench.
