Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson took a sly dig at Leeds United fans after beating The Whites on Sunday.
Forest beat Leeds 1-0 in a game that sealed a crucial three points for the club as they increased the gap from the relegation zone. Leeds however, dropped down to 17th place after Sunday’s result. Brennan Johnson scored the only goal in the game as Leeds failed to score in their second Premier League game in a row.
After the game, the Welshman was interviewed by BBC Radio Nottingham, where he mocked Leeds’ away support for ‘being quiet’:
“The fans were brilliant.
“Especially with the way the game went, you know, Leeds had a lot of the ball at times. But. we could only hear out fans today and we really appreciate them.”
Leeds’ next Premier League game is against in-form Manchester United.
