The international break is drawing to a close, and clubs including Leeds United, will have all their players back for this weekend’s run of Premier League games. It has been a mixed week for some of the club’s players.
The Whites’ Wales trio were at the end of two huge defeats against England and Belgium; Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu all featured in both results. This week also gave Jaka Bijol the opportunity to stamp his claim to a place in the first team – the defender was outstanding in both games for Slovenia.
Leeds will have close to a clean bill of health when the players arrive before the weekend. Lucas Perri and Wilfried Gnonto are expected to be fit in time to face Burnley.

Burnley boss Scott Parker will be sweating over the fitness of a key player after the latest news. Lyle Foster has been forced to withdraw from South Africa’s squad for their final World Cup qualifier on Tuesday. He is suspected to have picked up an injury that has ruled him out of the game. South Africa can seal qualification to the World Cup if they win and other results go their way.
There is no official word on the extent of Foster’s injury, but if he had to miss the game and leave camp, it could be severe.
How much will Foster’s absence affect Burnley?
Burnley’s Lyle Foster has played seven out of a possible seven games he has been available for. With 571 minutes played in the league, he is definitely one of Scott Parker’s trusty options up top. The forward has a goal and assist, and has created one big chance this season.

Foster is a unique player – he does not get on the end of a lot of chances this season, but he does create a lot for this Burnley side. He ranks in the 74th percentile for expected assists this season. He also has incredible work rate and covers a lot of ground defensively for the team – this combination of abilities make him a very big loss if he cannot make it this weekend.
