Burnley drew closer to Premier League promotion this season on Friday night. Leeds United need to respond on Saturday.
The Clarets secured a hard fought win over Norwich City on Friday night. Goals from Jaidon Anthony and Hannibal Mejbri were enough to dispatch the canaries. Burnley continued their impressive home form; Scott Parker’s side are now unbeaten in their last five games.
Burnley go three points above Leeds United, who kick off early on Saturday. Scott Parker complained about the fixture scheduling being an advantage for the Whites earlier this week.

Leeds host Preston at Elland Road on Saturday. The Whites are unbeaten in their last five home games, winning three of them. This fixture will be tricky, especially as the pressure is on Daniel Farke’s men after Burnley’s win on Friday night.
Farke said that his team need to be on top of their game to secure a result against Preston:
“Preston is definitely a dangerous side. They have a very experienced, very successful coach and also a manager on this level.
“It’s always a competitive side, difficult to play against them and I expect a very difficult game.
“Also tomorrow, like always at this stage of the season, you always have to be on it.”
Leeds already have an advantage, as Preston’s star man Sam Greenwood will not be able to feature in the game.
Elland Road form will be crucial in the run-in
The Whites’ home record is a huge reason why they are in contention for promotion this year. 57.647% of their points total in the Championship this season is from home games. That is over half the tally.
