After a morale-boosting win against Middlesbrough midweek, Leeds face Preston this weekend. The club hope to continue their unbeaten streak at Elland Road. The Whites are yet to lose a Championship game in their home stadium since December. They welcome 16th-placed Preston, who will be without star man Sam Greenwood on Saturday. Leeds have an injury worry of their own, as Dan James may not be ready in time to play this weekend.

Title rivals Burnley are also in action this weekend. The clarets face Norwich on Friday night in what is set to be a crucial game. Scott Parker will be without star striker Lyle Foster, who will be out with a shoulder injury. The Burnley boss confirmed the update on Foster’s injury to the Burnley Express:

“It doesn’t look good, to be honest with you. So we’ll find out a little bit more, scan him, and we’ll have bit more of a clearer idea.

“But the early part is, it doesn’t look too good. I think it summed up the second half, really, it was a stop-start. He’s come on for three minutes, and just when you bring Lyle on to give us another added attacking threat, he does his shoulder.

“So I’m bitterly disappointed for Lyle. I’m hoping that it’s not too bad, but it doesn’t look that way.”

Huge advantage for Leeds

With five games to go in a narrow title race, any advantage is good news. Burnley will be without their key man as they face Norwich on Friday. Leeds will hope that Scott Parker’s side drop points before the Whites face Preston in the early kick-off on Saturday.
