Leeds United and Cardiff City will meet in a crucial match on Saturday where a loss could spell disaster for either team. Although the Bluebirds are 24th in the Championship table, they’re entering this contest with confidence.
This week, reports suggest that Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut might be on the brink of getting sacked before the upcoming match against Leeds United. The pressure on Bulut has intensified as senior players have started questioning his training methods.
The 49-year-old coach likely knows his job is on the line if they don’t secure a win over Leeds and start climbing the Championship table. Plus, the Whites are heading into this game with injury issues.
On Thursday, Adam Pope from the BBC reported that Marlon Solomon’s availability is uncertain for Leeds in this crucial away game as they aim to climb back into the top six with a win.
“Leeds United winger Manor Solomon is the major injury doubt with a back problem ahead of Saturday’s Championship fixture at Cardiff City,” Pope wrote on X Thursday. “Patrick Bamford expected to be involved.”

Even though Bulut and his team are at the bottom of the Championship table, the gaffer feels confident about his squad. He cites that the group have generated scoring chances, but aren’t getting the results.
“It’s normal that I have pressure when you don’t get results that we are expecting, I can live with this,” Erol told the club’s official website. “This is the first time in my career that I’ve had a start like this.
“We have to be realistic; the opponents against us, what they create has not been better than us, aside from against Burnley.
“All of the other games, we had enough chances to lead the game or win, but football is like this. When opponents score and we don’t, and the results are how they have been, then you get pressure.”
He’ll have the home crowd cheering for him and the rest of the team. But if Leeds grab an early lead and capitalize on their chances, the fans’ support might quickly turn to boos.
