Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut is on the brink of getting sacked ahead of the Leeds United clash with the senior players in his squad questioning his training methods.

Moral at Elland Road is down following their 1-0 defeat to Burnley at home on Saturday and the Whites are now sitting ninth in the Championship standings.

They have an away game lined up next weekend when they will be travelling to Wales to take on Cardiff City but the situation around the Welsh side is worse at the moment.

Cardiff have picked up one point from their opening five Championship games and sitting right at the bottom of the Championship table, which is their worst start to a season in 35 years.

Their dire form has led to question marks over the future of Bulut who is said to be fighting for his job ahead of next Saturday’s game against Leeds.

Bulut facing questions ahead of the Leeds United game with senior players unhappy with his training methods

According to talkSPORT, the atmosphere inside the dressing room has gone from bad to worse throughout the five Championship games.

Bulut is not only under pressure to get a positive result but he is also facing a potential revolt from the players in his squad.

It has been claimed that the senior players inside the squad have been left unimpressed by the manager’s training methods since his arrival.

Cardiff suffered their fourth league defeat of the season as they fell to a 1-0 loss against Derby County at the weekend.

The club are now weighing up the possibility of getting rid of Bulut with Leeds coming to town on Saturday.

The German-born, Turkish boss took the reins of Cardiff City in the summer of 2023 and led them to a 12th-place finish in the Championship last season.

However, with Leeds set to arrive in Wales this weekend, Cardiff are considering whether to bite the bullet and sack Bulut in the coming days.
