Leeds United are the only team in the top three of the championship to have drawn five or more games.
Turning one point into three has been the weakness of the club this season. The Whites have also lost two games, which is tied for the lowest tally in the league.
Daniel Farke’s side have dropped points to direct promotion rivals than they have to low ranked teams. Leeds lost to Burnley and Millwall and drew with West Brom and Sunderland.
Their away form has also been terrible, Leeds have won just two games away from home while scoring just seven goals; the same number as Oxford United who have failed to win a single game on the road.

Questions raised about Daniel Farke’s style at Leeds United
Before the international break, Leeds missed the chance to go top of the league as they lost to Millwall. Japhet Tanganga scored the only goal of the game in the first half, and Leeds failed to create any meaningful chances to get a result.
Radio presenter Sam Parkin suggests the reason why Leeds have failed to win games where they have gone behind, is because of Daniel Farke’s tactics:
“I think the sense is that Daniel Farke just lacks a little bit of a plan B… lacks maybe the tactical acumen of maybe some of the other managers that they have had or some of the other managers that have been in the Championship in the last few seasons”,
“We probably saw that didn’t we in the playoff final against Southampton.
“Sometimes it feels a little bit like ‘we have good players, forward players in particular, go and create carnage and win us the game’.
“So, maybe it’s a bit of a product of that.”
In the QPR win, Farke decided to change the lineup and start Manor Solomon. The Spurs loanee flopped, and the match was a struggle for Leeds, despite them facing one of the worst teams in the Championship.
Poor games can be explained
Despite the valid concerns about Farke’s tactics, the Leeds boss has not had a fully healthy squad this season. Summer signings have also failed to step up, which means he has had to rely on under-performers from last year.
Ethan Ampadu and Illia Gruev have been missing for most of the campaign. Joel Piroe has struggled without the presence of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville in the team. This could explain why Farke is looking to add depth in January, with Ryan Kent a prime target.
