From the end of the season, Leeds United have made it clear that they will go all out this summer. After winning the Championship, club chairman Paraag Marathe came out to address the fans.
In his speech he backed Daniel Farke to be the man to lead the club. He also added that he will help Leeds maintain their Premier League status. Since then, there have been reports that the club will have over £150million to spend this summer. If the Whites do spend it on signings, it eclipses the spend of two of the three promoted sides this season.
With a budget like that, the recruitment is expected to be top notch, targeting some of the best players in England, and the rest of Europe.

Marseille captain Leonardo Balerdi has been tipped as a major target for Leeds over the last month. Multiple reports claimed that the Whites were ready to pay a ‘club record’ fee to try and sign the defender.
The Ligue 1 side booked their place in next seasons Champions League. During the celebrations, Marseille chief Longoria and head coach De Zerbi were present. They spoke to La Provence on the future of the team. In the report, De Zerbi hinted that Balerdi will not be sold this summer:
“There’s the president and the sporting director,” De Zerbi said. “They’re the ones best placed to answer that. The aim is to get stronger. We weren’t playing in Europe this season, so we had to achieve our objective, it was vital. After the season, we’ll see how we can strengthen the team. Leo [Balerdi] is a pillar of the squad.”
Leeds are fine in defence
From the words of Marseille’s head coach, Balerdi is going nowhere this summer. Leeds will be fine, they have a very good set of options in central defence. A core of Struijk, Rodon, Ampadu and Wober should be enough in the Premier League. Each player has some experience in the top flight, and they are all very good players who can make an impact.
