Championship club plot shock swoop for £20m Leeds United target

Leeds United are in the hunt for attacking players in the final days of the transfer window. The team have looked lacklustre in front of goal at the start of the season, and they are intending to add more goals and creativity to the team before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Farke is insisting on adding more flair and goals to his squad in the coming days. He has seen his forwards struggle to create or score early in the season, and that is one area he needs to fix if the Whites are to give themselves a decent chance of survival in the Premier League by next May.

Leeds are in advanced negotiations to sign Brighton attacking midfielder Facundo Buonanotte. The 20-year-old had offers from big European clubs on his table, but he chose Elland Road, and the Seagulls were also keen to send him on loan to a Premier League club in the ongoing transfer window.

The manager wants one more signing after the arrival of Buonanotte, but there are suggestions that the Argentinian could be the 11th and the last signing of the summer at Leeds, unless something mad happens late in the window.

Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?

Sheffield United are pushing to sign Leeds United target Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon will leave Tottenham before the transfer window closes on Monday night, and the club are open to both permanent and loan offers.

The winger would prefer to return to Leeds, and the Whites have been considering making a move for the player all summer, but they have yet to make a concrete offer.

However, Solomon could be returning to the Championship, as according to journalist Callum Cheswick, Sheffield United are working on a deal to sign him.

The winger played a big role in getting Leeds promoted to the Premier League, and Sheffield United are keen to secure promotion this season.

Solomon has proven Championship experience and has proved himself at that level. The Blades want to bring that experience into their squad this summer.

Sheffield United are looking to sign him on loan as they are unlikely to match Tottenham’s £20m asking price.

Buonanotte’s imminent arrival will end the need for Solomon at Leeds

Leeds appear to have prioritised completing a deal for the Brighton star over pursuing a move to bring Solomon back to Elland Road this summer.

Buonanotte can play on the wings as well as behind the striker as the number 10 of the team. Solomon is of a similar profile, and Leeds have made their choice.

The Whites may bring in one more striker to bolster their squad if they sign someone else after completing the deal to sign the Brighton attacking midfielder on loan.
