The Whites could be set to lose another key piece of the first team soon. L’Équipe are reporting that Strasbourg are keen on adding Mateo Joseph to their squad this summer. The French club are owned by BlueCo, who also control Chelsea.
Strasbourg will play in the Europa Conference League qualifiers later this summer as they eye a place in the competition. Based on this, the Ligue 1 side are keen to boost their attacking options by signing the 21-year old.
Real Betis have also shown interest in the forward over the last month, and could push for a deal this summer.
Should Leeds sell Mateo Joseph?
The main argument anyone can give to sanction Joseph’s sale is that the club will sign a more experienced striker this summer. Which means his playing time would reduce. Joseph is a high potential talent and is already drawing interest across Europe.
There is also a point to be made that he will make a huge profit. Interest from clubs in Spain and France give Leeds the upper hand when it comes to agreeing a fee. The decision could go either way, but the club will still need another striker for next season. Daniel Farke and the club executives have a big decision on their hands.
