Chris Sutton was very unhappy at Patrick Bamford’s comments on the team’s tactics against Nottingham Forest.

Bamford said after the Forest game that he felt his teammates could have provided more in attack by making runs off him. He also mentioned that he was playing two-vs-one because he had no help on Sunday. Pundit Chris Sutton slammed Bamford, saying that his comments should have never been made public:

“Going back to the Bamford stuff, I think he’s a joke for bringing that into the public domain.

“I really do. He must know the implications and the issues that will bring, essentially criticising the manager and his tactics publicly. Keep it in the confines of the dressing room, if that’s the way you feel.

“He’s unburdening himself of any responsibility and I don’t like that. It will be taken as a criticism of the manager and his tactics.”

Leeds United face Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend, with a successor for Jesse Marsch still unnamed.
