Leeds United were one of the more outstanding performers in the Championship last season. Winning the league title with a 100 points and 95 goals scored is one of the more incredible feats in recent seasons.
Winning last year did not come by luck, outside Daniel Farke’s coaching, there was support in the transfer market. Leeds gave him players like Jayden Bogle, Ao Tanaka and Manor Solomon to compete. All three played crucial roles in their title win and promotion.
Without these key transfers, one can say the Whites would not make it into the Premier League.

Chris Wilder compares Sheffield United ambition to Leeds United

Chris Wilder recently returned to the Blades after they fired Ruben Selles. And he has been speaking on how ”jealous” he was of Leeds United. Now, he has been addressing fans on how ambitious the Whites were when they were seeking promotion.
“It wasn’t going to be a case of signing these 19, 20, 21-year-old players, because the owners know that you can’t survive in the division with just that,” said Wilder on the transfers this past summer.” he said to The Star.
“We were the third youngest team in the division last season.
“There weren’t any young players playing for Burnley or Middlesbrough or Coventry, really. Or Leeds United.
“We were putting young players in left, right and centre, restoring values to the players that we already had and putting value onto our young players.
“There had always been, in my opinion, the necessity of signing some of the players that the club have signed.
“And I’ve got to say, I think the club have been incredibly ambitious and put their hand in the pocket in terms of what they’ve done.
49ers have failed this summer
There is no doubt that the club’s ownership have in some ways failed this past summer. Not putting that £98million spend to good use in attacking areas has hampered the team a lot of the pitch. And some additions are already looking like they will not pan out. Leeds are yet to score an open play goal this season, and are away to Wolves on Saturday.
That didn’t age very well did it?
