Leeds United are yet to resolve the contract of two players at the club. The Whites announced when they released their retained list that talks would be held with Junior Firpo and Sam Byram.
The defensive duo are yet to put pen to paper on new contracts. As it stands both players could leave later this month when their deals expire. Reports claim that Firpo has an offer on the table, but he is yet to make his decision.
The 28-year old is currently being chased by multiple European clubs, after his agency offered his services at the end of the season.

Safe to say that most people at the club have accepted Firpo’s pending departure.
Now, it looks like Leeds are working fast to sort out a replacement. Surprisingly that player will also be available as a free agent. According to Ben Jacobs, Leeds are among a list of clubs including Sunderland and Nottingham Forest, chasing his signature.

The 31-year old is under contract over the next month as he has been named in Atletico Madrid’s squad for the Club World Cup. After the tournament, he will officially become a free agent.
Reinildo could fill a lot of roles
The left footer has experience across a lot of roles. During his time at Atletico Madrid, he has often been used as an orthodox left back and sometimes as a wingback. But recently he has been deployed at center back, and has even played as a winger for his national team.
Firstly, he would be a perfect replacement for Junior Firpo without the defensive fragility. Playing for Diego Simeone’s side means that he is active defensively. Being able to fill a number of roles would give Daniel Farke multiple options tactically too.
All depends on if the club can convince him of the project, and how much the financial package would cost.
