Leeds United could be set to lose some important depth in areas of the team this summer. This comes after reports of the club attempting to sell some first team stars.
It has now been widely reported that Junior Firpo is set to return to Spain. Sources claim that he has signed a three-year deal with Real Betis and could be confirmed as a new signing soon. Max Wober also revealed that Leeds are keen on selling him, and have informed him on that.
This could leave the club without two key depth pieces in defence.

Leeds could make a major addition to their backline this summer. And with the number of players tipped with moves away, this move could provide depth.
The Whites have shown a lot of interest in Millwall star Japhet Tanganga in recent weeks. The 26-year old is reportedly available for a 2million release clause. Now, the Express is reporting that Sunderland and Crystal Palace are set to join the race for the former Spurs star.
It will be a battle to take the player of Millwall’s hands, after head coach Alex Neil insisted Tanganga would remain at the club in January:
“It is just speculation. I’m not going to say that to you (that he will be staying) and Japhet is going to leave tomorrow. But I’m unaware of anything apart from probably paper talk surrounding Japhet. There has not been any discussion in regards to anybody showing any serious interest in Japhet.”
Tanganga is the signing Premier League clubs thrive on
An experienced defender with Premier League experience available for that price is just a valuable bargain. This is the kind of signings that the smart clubs in the division make. Get a player who can fill multiple roles and step into the lineup when needed without necessarily being a starter.
Tanganga has played in the league for Spurs, and has been coached by Jose Mourinho. He is fundamentally a really good player, and would provide a good fit in this Leeds United team. Especially with the pending departure of some defensive options.
