Stuart Dallas is now into his seventh season as a Leeds United player having arrived from Brentford in August 2015 for a reported £1.3million.
During that time, the Northern Ireland international has played under seven different head coaches, as well as playing in almost every outfield position possible for the club.
Despite the constant change in head coaches, and partly because of his lack of injuries, Dallas has been a regular name on the Leeds United team sheet ever since his arrival at Elland Road – especially during the last three seasons where the 30 year old has started 116 out of the last 117 league and play off matches, including starting every Premier League fixture since Leeds’ return to the top flight.
In the last seven seasons, Dallas has only failed to appear for Leeds less than 30 times in all competitions in one campaign – the 2018/19 season when Marcelo Bielsa first arrived in West Yorkshire, where the Cookstown Cafu appeared 29 times in the Championship and cup competitions.
This Friday’s away trip to Wolves will see Dallas make his 262nd appearance in a Leeds United shirt, equaling Lucas Radebe’s tally which he set over an 11 year time period between 1994 and 2005 – 4 years more than the Northern Irishman has been at the club.

Not only will it be Dallas’ 262nd appearance at Molineux, but also his 75th consecutive start in the league for Leeds United – a run stretching back to Leeds’ 3-1 away win at Blackburn Rovers in July 2020, and the only game the versatile 30 year old hasn’t started in the last 117 league matches.
Dallas is the leading appearance maker in the current Leeds United squad, followed by club captain Liam Cooper who has made 240 appearances for the Whites, and Kalvin Phillips with the third most with a total of 226 first team appearances in his career – all of which have been with his hometown club.
In his 261 outings for the club, Dallas has scored 28 goals in all competitions, including Leeds’ goal of the season in the 2020/21 campaign away to Manchester City in the Premier League, and won back to back Leeds United Player’s Player of the Year in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons, as well as taking home the club’s Player of the Season in Leeds’ first season back in the Premier League last campaign.
In comparison, Leeds’ all time record appearance holder is Jack Charlton, who made 773 outings for the club between 1952 and 1973, averaging 37 appearances for 21 consecutive seasons.
