Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post has described Kiko Casilla’s exit in two words – “universally beneficial”.
After two-and-a-half years at Elland Road, the Spanish goalkeeper has finally departed Elland Road after 62 appearances for the Whites.
The Spaniard’s time at the club really hasn’t been the most enjoyable, with Casilla making key mistakes in the 2018-19 play-off semi-final clash with Derby County that ended any hopes of promotion that season.
Casilla was also found guilty of using racist language towards West Brom’s Jonathan Leko and was served an eight-game ban.
He has now made a loan exit to Elche after penning the deal in July.
