Leeds United have suffered a crushing injury blow as Daniel James is now facing months on the sidelines after picking up a major injury during training this week.
The Welshman’s fitness has been under the scanner this season, and Daniel Farke sort of rushed him back in their 1-0 defeat at Fulham, where he picked up another knock.
He was back on the bench against Bournemouth, and while he remained an unused substitute, the winger was expected to return to action against Tottenham this weekend.
However, James is now facing a long spell on the sidelines as it has been claimed that the Welshman has suffered a major injury during training this week.
Daniel James out for ‘a long time’ after latest injury setback

According to BBC journalist Adam Pope, the winger picked up an injury during training, which is set to keep him out of action ‘for a long time’.
Leeds are yet to confirm anything, but for the moment, it seems more than likely that the winger is now facing months on the sidelines following the latest setback.
The Welshman has been a key figure for Daniel Farke, and with Leeds already short of attacking options, the manager will now be without one of his key attackers for months.
Several sources saying Leeds United winger Dan James has suffered an injury in training which is set to keep him out for a long time. Have asked club & awaiting official response. #LUFC

Brenden Aaronson has filled in as the right winger in the team, but the American lacks James’ pace or attacking instincts to make a difference in the final third.
Farke has Jack Harrison in the squad as well, and he may now be pressed into action in a few games as Leeds look to compensate for the absence of James.
However, missing James for months will be a huge blow for Leeds and will likely push them to sign someone in the winter transfer window.
