Earlier today, it was reported that Leeds were in advanced talks with Manchester United over a deal to sign Daniel James on a permanent transfer.
Those talks have become even more advanced, as Phil Hay has now reported that James is due to travel into Leeds as early as today for a medical that would see him be on the verge of signing for the club for the second time.
Dan James due to travel to Leeds tonight. Deal with Manchester United in place, fee in the region of £25m. This time, surely…https://t.co/ASyrWPRic9

James very nearly signed for Leeds in January 2019, but internal politics at Swansea meant they ultimately pulled the plug at the last minute. This time Leeds will be hoping to get this over the line in time for when the deadline closes.
The fee being in the region of £25 million is much higher than most would’ve hoped for given his form at Manchester United over the past 2 seasons, but it is still nice to see an incoming before the window closes.
