Leeds United can be proud of their start to the season so far; the club have won four points from three games so far. The Whites have secured some great results against Everton and Newcastle.
Daniel Farke’s side managed to keep a clean sheet against two top sides. Leeds’ home form in 2025 is still ongoing, as the club are unbeaten at Elland Road this season. The atmosphere has played a huge part in the results there.
Outside the positives, there are some huge flaws in the first few games of the season. Firstly, the away form has been terrible; Leeds have failed to win both their games on the road. They suffered a 5-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal and were knocked out of the EFL Cup to Sheffield Wednesday.
The team’s finishing is also a big issue; Leeds have scored two goals in four games with only one coming from open play.

Lukas Nmecha is the only Leeds attacker to find the back of the net this season, the other goalscorer is Jayden Bogle. The attack has been a worry in some of the games so far, with next to no threat in some of the games. Daniel Farke’s team owe the big results against Newcastle and Everton to the club’s solid defence and midfield.
Leeds star Wilfried Gnonto has said he is ready to be among the goals this season. When asked about the goalscoring burden on BBC Radio Leeds, this is what the forward had to say:
“I think it’s time,”
“Playing upfront you have to try to defend and everything but we’ll always be judged for goals and assists. I think it’s time.
“We struggled a bit scoring goals and creating chances but I’m sure it’s going to come. I’m sure we’re working well and I’m sure we have the quality so we’re going to score and help the team too.”
Gnonto had nine goals and six assists in 43 appearances last season. If he can get anywhere close to that in the Premier League, Daniel Farke would be pleased.
