Leeds United beat Bristol City on Monday night to make sure they stand every chance of lifting the Championship on Saturday. The Whites go into this weekend’s clash level on points with Burnley.
Scott Parker’s men made a statement on Saturday as they beat QPR 5-0 away from home. Leeds then responded on Monday with a big 4-0 win over Bristol City. Ao Tanaka, Wilfried Gnonto and Largie Ramazani were all on the scoresheet. The win was the second game that Daniel Farke’s men had put four or more goals past an opponent in the space of two games.
Leeds will not have the home crowd behind them this weekend. They go away to a Plymouth side who have been all but relegated. The Pilgrims are no strangers to an upset, they shocked Sheffield United with a 2-1 win a few weeks ago. You would expect them to end their season on a high in front of their home crowd.

With all games kicking off at the same time on Saturday, no team has the advantage. Scott Parker complained a few weeks ago about how the schedule benefitted the Whites. Leeds will have to handle the added pressure of being away from home, while their title rivals play at their home ground, Turf Moor.
Before the game, Daniel Farke seemed to make a surprising assessment of winning the Championship. Just before the Bristol game, the Leeds boss mentioned in a press conference that winning the league gives ”no advantage”:
”We have finished the job. There’s no advantage in the PL by winning the title. Overall the big challenge was to bring the club back to the PL. This is achieved. We have played the best season for the club.
Club has never scored 89 goals, never go 60 goal difference. Of course we are desperate to do add more points and of course to win the league. We have achieved something historic.”
In the same statement, he then went on to add that he hopes to lift the trophy on Saturday.
”To win the title is something really special. I will try everything to try and win this title. It would be well deserved.”
Is Farke’s statement a cause for concern?
Critically looking at it, he has not said anything wrong. Winning the league only gives a financial boost. But it truly hands no advantage in the Premier League. Maybe the German should have chosen his words a bit carefully, but he then mentions that he is determined to lift the trophy.
Leeds already have one eye on the summer transfer window, as they line up a move for this Newcastle United star.

Plymouth are relegated already… unless they can overturn a 14 goal deficit. not likely to beat Leeds by 14 goal
