Leeds United will be hoping to continue their good run of form when Crystal Palace visit Elland Road this weekend. The Whites are unbeaten in their last three games and will be looking to extend that run.
Leeds are just above the relegation zone and will be looking for points during this current run. Farke’s men have taken points off Chelsea, Liverpool and Brentford in their last three games. The Whites taking five points from a possible nine during this run was seen as impossible last month. The team were in terrible form, with rumours that Daniel Farke would be sacked.
But the German has turned it around, and the team has found a new gear that will benefit them come the second half of the season.
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke can break streak vs Crystal Palace
This weekend, Daniel Farke will come up against Oliver Glasner for the third time in his career. Unfortunately for the Leeds boss, he has been unable to win any of the last two meetings. Before taking charge at Elland Road, the German had a short stint in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach. There, he faced Glasner, who was in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt.
| Date | Competition | Farke’s Team | Glasner’s Team | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2023-15-04 | Bundesliga | Borussia Monchengladbach | Frankfurt | 1-1 |
| 2022-10-22 | Bundesliga | Borussia Monchengladbach | Frankfurt | 3-1 |
| Overall Record (Farke) | 0 Wins, 1 Draw, 1 Loss | |||
The first time they met, the now Palace boss had the upper hand as his side recorded an impressive 3-1 win. However, the second meeting between the two coaches was not as one sided. Gladbach put up a fight and got a draw, with Frankfurt needed a late equalizer to walk away with a point. This Saturday, Farke has the chance to record a win over the 51-year old for the first time in his career.

Tough task up ahead of Saturday
It will be an interesting clash on Saturday night between the two teams. While Leeds pride themselves on their home form this season, Palace are the best team in the Premier League away from home; they have only lost two games all season. Farke’s men have won 12 of their 16 points at Elland Road, and will be hoping it counts on the day.
| Statistic | Crystal Palace Away | Leeds United Home |
|---|---|---|
| Games Played | 8 | 8 |
| Points | 16 | 12 |
| Goals Scored | 11 | 13 |
| Goals Conceded | 5 | 11 |
One massive advantage the Whites have is that they will have a full week of rest to prepare. Crystal Palace played on Thursday night, and will play again on Saturday.
